Waverly Hills: Louisville, Kentucky

If you're a fan of ghost hunting or paranormal shows, chances are that you have come across at least one episode about the Waverly Hills Sanatorium. Waverly Hills opened in 1910 as a tuberculosis hospital during a particularly rough year for Louisville. As the years went by, the sanatorium expanded to accommodate the growing number of TB patients. It's speculated that thousands died at Waverly over its 50 year history before closing in the early 1960's.

Reports of paranormal activity are widespread at Waverly. From moving objects, to slamming doors; from human shaped shadows to full body apparitions, there is no shortage of ghostly experiences. Disembodied voices and footsteps are also a common occurrence at the former sanatorium.

Waverly Hills Sanatorium is well worth the visit. The owners offer a variety of different tours and investigations to suit anyone's interest in the paranormal. For more information: https://www.therealwaverlyhills.com/
