Lizzie Borden House

Updated: Jun 26, 2020

Located in Massachusetts, the Lizzie Borden House is the site of a pair of gruesome murders in the 1890's. The main suspect was Lizzie Borden, the daughter of Andrew and step-daughter of Abby, both of whom were murdered by an ax in their own home. Lizzie and her father and step-mother had a strained relationship at the time of their murders. Ultimately, Lizzie was charged but was acquitted at trial for their murders.

Today, the home is the site of a museum as well as a bed and breakfast. It has been reported that the paranormal activity in the former home is off the charts. Disembodied voices are heard. Apparitions in Victorian clothing have been seen, cries have been heard, and unexplained noises have also been heard throughout the house.

Besides being a museum and a bed and breakfast, the owners also offer ghost hunts at various times in the year. Their website has more details: https://lizzie-borden.com/
